EEPIS Online, Besides IT, Telecommunication department carried out Welcome Party and Graduation Exercise. The show started at 6 pm located in EEPIS cafeteria.
"We chose to start the event after sunset to avoid clashing of time praying that causes many students leaving the program before the end", said Juwita Imaniar (D3 Telecommunication 2 A) as chairman of the committee.
Different with IT, this event is handled by Departemen Dalam Negeri (dagri) HIMA Telecommunication every year. Last year, beside WP (welcome party), they also launched website and radio. This year the event coupled with Halal bi Halal (Isl. ask and give forgiveness at the end of the fasting period).
Graduation Exercise event or graduation of graduates’ candidate is conducted by Heads of Department of Telecommunications, Arifin ST, MT with representatives of prospective graduates, Ocrio.
After that event, move on art performances presented by the new generation of students in 2009 and other entertainment was singing.
Asked the purpose of this event, Juwita explained that this event was a form of Tasyakuran (Isl. be grateful to God) of the senior (2005 and 2006) graduation. Beside that, this event also gave solidarity feeling.
The interesting of Graduation Exercise Telecommunications Department this year was when the show ended. The new students 2009 made a row to release their seniors who will graduate tomorrow. They also gave alumni book and flowers in the middle of the candles row. (dha)
