"rekor_muri.jpg"EEPIS-Online, a robotics achievement has been reached by EEPIS. Now it is not about the robot itself but it is about the cumulative result of the winning of Robot Contest. Tomorrow EEPIS will be awarded as MURI records breaker for “ Winning Indonesian Robot Contest Eleven Times in a Row from 1993-2009”.

    This idea appeared from EEPIS willingness documenting robotics achievements. Through MURI we hope we can get the confession due to our achievements in national and international also,” Ir. Dadet Pramadihanto, M.Eng, Ph.D said.

    Robotic icon are actually not achieved in short times. It needed the sacrifice and hard struggling of Civitas Akademika from EEPIS beginning in 1989 are really contributing to this bright achievements. The participations of EEPIS to this competition started from the good conciliation with the Japan Government by JICA. “ JICA was introducing us to International Robot Contest firstly. At that time we had been gathered to join in kosen,” Dadet said.

    EEPIS was invited also as participants in 1991 and 1992. Next, in 1993 Indonesian Robot Contest was held firstly and EEPIS was the host. Though, it has been vacuum for 6 years, Indonesian Robot Contest was finally held continually with the increasing number of participants annually. Selection system of competition are developed to regional and national selection. Robot contest are added more to be Smart Robot Contest and Art Robot Contest.

The opportunity to compete in International gave bright results. In 2000 B-CAK was the champion in International Robot Contest in Japan. Being runner up in 2007 , 2008 and in another special event.

Paulus Pangka the manager of MURI stated the record that is achieved by EEPIS is unique. “ If only being the winner is usual. But being winner for eleven times in a row that’s unique,” He said in spare of his activity monitoring the preparations of MURI awarded.

Indonesian Robotics Technology is actually not left by another country. It is seen that EEPIS join the Robot Contest in International. “ It’s the time that Robotic Technology are not authorized by Education but the industries should take this chance to develop in case to develop to Household or wide side.” Dadet adds.

EEPIS create plan to make Robotics Museum that will show the EEPIS robots have ever been winning the International and National Robot Contest. We wish that this technology can be developed and applied in all sectors.(eepispr/mel/ent)
