EEPIS-Online, Sunday(06/20) Indonesian Robot Contest which was held in Muhammadiyah Malang University successfully being creativities event of colleges. Contest which has been held for two days participated by 96 teams that came from 53 colleges of Indonesia. Robomania(citation of robots lovers, red) was competing their power and strategy to seize trophy and national robotics awards.
In this event there are 5 contest categories which are Indonesian Robot Contest, Intelligence Robot Contest Wheel division, Intelligence Robot Contest Leg division, Intelligence Robot Contest Expert Battle division, and Art Robotic Contest. Robot Contest today took the theme as Together Building Prambanan Temple adopted from ABU Robocon 2010. Robots must compete the acceleration to assembly in making pyramid in 3 minutes into 3 zones, Khufu, Khafraa, Mankaura. The fastest robot and assembly most will be the winner. Nonetheless, if robot can do it perfectly, it will be declared as PHARAOH (term of absolute winning, red). EEPIS robot has been the only one that can be PHARAOH. Separate 24 teams of Indonesian Robot Contest. Mio_rEi from EEPIS has succeed being the winner after defeating F4KuBo from ITS.
In other hand, Intelligence Robot Contest Leg division , ASA team from ITB has been successfully being the only robot that can exhaust fire in three time trial. Notwithstanding in Intelligence Robot Contest, wheel team of EEPIS, HI 101 succeed being as runner up after their time split broken by IRONFIRE of UGM. In expert battle, LF17 of EEPIS has done big effort they can be in runner up defeated by Bengkalis Polytechnic.
This year also held the Art Robot Contest by its theme pendet dancer was followed by 16 robots. Motion variation, synchronization toward music and artistic become the factor to juries assessment. PUTU AYU,the EEPIS robot came as the winner, DEWI from Surabaya State University coming as Runner up. Coming as the second runner up is EL HAWA from Brawijaya University.
These contest was officially opened by Indonesian Education Minister, Prof. Ir., Mohammad Nuh,DEA. Despite giving trophy and certificate also price. He was also giving the winners the scholarship for master degree to each first place. “This is kind of government appreciation toward robotics science in Indonesia,”he said.
EEPIS has achieve 6 awards and also being crowned as the most winner. They has successfully preserved Sambhawana Patimacala thropy, that has been achieved from these contest firstly begin in Indonesia.(eepispr/mel)
