EEPIS Online, at least 13 representatives of developing countries followed INTERNATIONAL TRAINING of IT APPLICATION in ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY in EEPIS. Training held since October 5 and was attended by participants from Asian and African countries, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kenya, Lao PDR, Pakistan, Tanzania, Uganda and Timor-Leste.

Thursday, October 29 is the end of the course titled The 3rd International Training Course in Information Technology based for Electrical Engineering Education. Present at this event, representatives from the Office JICA Jakarta Mr. Nobutaka Tanimoto, Consul General of Japan Mr. Yasuji Odoko, representatives of the Secretariat of State, chief of TCDC Division; Mukhammad Fahrurozi, and EEPIS Director; Ir. Dadet Premadihanto, Me.Eng, Ph. D. Mr. Aviti Thadei Mushi from Tanzania as the representative of participants also conveyed his impression during the training in EEPIS which was held in a short duration. "Thank you for many Institutions which make this training course happened. We appreciate it much, especially the Warmest environment of people here. We learn many things about PLC, Micro controller, and so on which is computerized base. We really need that knowledge and we believe that it will be implemented in our country, "he said applause greeted the other participants.

Asked about the purpose of this training, Fahrurozi explained that beside for the exchanging of electronics information and technologies, further, this training realization “South-south Cooperation”, which for years has been since the 1980s. "Under the framework of technical cooperation, the Government of Indonesia through the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Japan through JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) we have conducted a variety of similar programs in Indonesia. Not only in EEPIS, we also have a training program in Artificial Insemination Malang, "he said.

This annual event has been held by EEPIS since 1993, which was originally a electronics-based training course. But along with the development of electronics technology, this training was more pursed to the electronics field, such as telecommunications, electronic industry and informatics. This 120 hours training is designed in the 6 main activities; experiment, workshops (processor module design & programming), company visit, experiment by design or project work and action plan.

At the end of the event, the participants received a certificate and follow the amiable moment. Although they had known each other a day before, they also could know about their origin countries by the presentation or usually called country report. It’s in order to keep the communication and cooperation among the participants. (eepispr)
