EEPIS-Online, EEPIS recently implements new technology that is Smart Card. A smart card is able to record data of students and lecturers identity. SmartCard usage began to be applied on the date and March 1, 2010.
In the initial application, SmartCard is used for lecture attendance. SmartCard Reader is placed in the classrooms and laboratories.
Mechanisms of use is a lecturer need to login to the Smart Card that is owned. Then, student absences each by touching their SmartCard Smart Card Reader.
If have more than 15 minutes, it will be recorded as late.
"SmartCard is a bit troublesome, because we have to wait for faculty to do the first roll call," said Lina Mubarokah from Telkom 2 D3.
