EEPIS Successfully Held CST Seminar

EEPIS-Online, Tuesday, Jan 12th 2010. Great Job for EEPIS in successfully held the seminar of Computer Simulation Technology(CST) at Theatre. The keynote speaker was Linus Lau, PhD the CST technical and microwave engineering from UMIST-UK.

This seminar was opened at 09.20 a.m by Dr. Ir. Endra Pitowarno, M.Eng as the Chief of mechatronics engineering. It was attended by some lecturers and several students from all of major of EEPIS. The seminar was run and well organized. The preparation was short due to the schedule and the confirmation that was tight but the committee was professional. “This seminar is well organized by the committee”, Linus utter.

    This seminar was conciliated to SETIA INDO INFOTAMA as reseller of the software. “Very good responses here and we hope to able create more similar seminar with another expert,” Wimpy , owner of SETIA INDO INFOTAMA.

Seminar was discussing about CST and its implementations to our common technology and our industries. CST has been used in many developed country in Europe, America, and Asia.

In south east Asia, CST has been developed in Malaysia and Singapore since their technology is developed well. This is the first time for Indonesia to be introduced seeing the capability and industries development here. “Indonesian Government should increase the industries development due to not make the technology left behind because Indonesia has so many potential to be developed,” Linus add.

The held of this event is also as the starting point of EEPIS conciliation to CST usage. Since the EEPIS robotics development was high, it brings lot of beneficial not only to robotics but also to telecommunication because it is related.

“There was no former conciliation to CST. We hope it will be good starting point to us and we can held this similar event more due to this seminar is kind of scientific seminar that need to be developed,” Endra utter.(mel)
