EEPIS Online, (25/07) Close to 2000 number for the UMPENS registrants in this year, it doesn’t mean that the registrants only come from Surabaya. Mojokerto, Jakarta, Kombang, Borneo, Sumatra, Ambon, even the registrant from Papua also follow the test today.
Every registrant has their own story about experience in following UMPENS. Same of them are only trying, some of them are “healing their broken heart†because afraid can’t be passed in SMPTN, and some of them are really serious and want to study in EEPIS, there are still a lot of other stories. Let the “trial†and “broken heart†story be gone, there are still a lot of inspiring stories by the UMPENS registrants.
There are a lot of parents, families, and friends who were accompanying the registrants when the test was held. For instance, there was a mother who was waiting for her son to follow the test. An hour trip by motorcycle had been done to get to the test location. “My son wants to study in EEPIS from the beginning,†she explained. Although had been accepted in other public university but he still wanted to study in EEPIS as his interest in Information technology.
The next story is about Darman and Husein, a passionate registrant who really want to study in EEPIS. The desire to study in reference campus makes these brothers wander to Surabaya from Papua and Ambon. “I’ve already planned to help my parent for a year before register to EEPIS,†explained Husein; the registrant from Ambon graduated in 2008.
Similar with his cousin; Darman from Papua, also wants to study in EEPIS. 6 days trips traveled with his parent to get to Surabaya. The preparation; such as read the exercises book, had been prepared since a long time before. “I purposely didn’t follow SMPTN because I really want to study in EEPIS,†explained the 6th of 7 children. Although they consider that the test is enough difficult but they sure can pass the test. “We sure 99% pass the UMPENS!†answered both together.
