The results should be original and the work can provide benefits to the wider community. Indonesia itself was awarded Best Design Imagine Cup held in France last year. The prize was $ 10,000 U.S. dollars and 3-month internship at Microsoft. All the participants’ accommodation was paid by Microsoft. It is also followed the participants from various countries such as the states of Australia, China, Japan, the States United States, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, and many more. The contest is held once a year, starting from local, regional and contestants online, for those who became the winner of the contest will be sent to the world in various locations every year. Before sliding into the international level participants will be competed with the national participants from various provinces on March 2009.
This contest category is divided in Embedded Development, Software Design, Game Development, Robotics and Algorithm, IT Challenge, and Mash Up. There were 3 new additional categories for this year, Photography, Short Film, and Design with the theme of Millennium Development Goals. National finalist for Embedded Software Development and Design will match the level of greatness again which will take place in Cairo, Egypt.
