Indonesian Education Minister Legitimated MURI Awards to EEPIS

EEPIS-Online, Indonesian Education Minister and his officials arrived at EEPIS at 10.30 am are ovated by students representative from major organizations and Executive Students Organization. The attendance of Education minister due to legitimate EEPIS education facility. The facilities are including to Mechatronic Laboratory, Computer Engineering Laboratory , Multimedia Broadcasting Laboratory and nine general facilities.

    General director of DIKTI Dikti Prof.Fasli Djalal, director of DP2M Prof. Suryo Hapsoro, ITS rector Prof. Priyo Suprobo, Representative of Japan Consulate Mrs. Ayaka Masuda, Chief of East Java Education Department Prof. Drs. Widjil Saptadi, M.M and all directors of Community College was attending to this event.

    The event was begun by watching the flashback video of EEPIS robot in National and International. The struggle was not easily and it spent time to get the achievement in getting eleven times sorted to be the winner. EEPIS is successfully awarded as record breaker by MURI in category of “ Winning Indonesian Robot Contest Eleven Times in a Row from 1993-2009.”

Ir.Dadet Pramadihanto M.Eng, Ph.D said “ Mr. Nuh is really giving big impact for EEPIS. Ten years was in ITS by having six years to be the EEPIS director, He gave so many development here so that EEPIS can be as nowadays”.

    Indonesian Education Minister in his speech said “ Thank you for today invitation. It was about 2-3 years I have never come to EEPIS. I’m proud EEPIS successfully get the MURI record. The Robot Contest Winning seems have been lot by EEPIS. To be runner up is kind of fortune,” He said while the audience are laughing.

    The last speech was coming from MURI representative, Mr. Paulus Pangka before awarding. “ We have the criteria to decide who are able to get MURI record. There are one from four categories that should be fulfilled. The important one is coming from technology, unique and everlasting. EEPIS break the record by winning Indonesian Robot Contest for 11 times winning. Moreover, there are no country that have ever won Robot Contest more than ten times even in a row.”

    The main event is the Education legitimating was done by Indonesian Education Minister by pressing the button. After the button is pressed SRI the beauty robot which follow the KRSI show with it’s nice dance.

    The next MURI awarded was given by MURI team represented by Mr.Paulus Pangka. This events was finished. After having lunch, Indonesian Education Minister held the press conference and held meeting with all directors of Indonesian Polytechnics.(dha/mel/ent)
