EEPIS Online. A number of 560 fresh students 2009 which has been officially accepted as the members of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya on yesterday; Wednesday, August 19, follow the Orientasi Mahasiswa Baru (OMB) in EEPIS New Building Lobby.
These new fresh students are from all educational programs in EEPIS.
In his speech, EEPIS Director; Ir. Dadet Pramadihanto, M.Eng Ph. D, said his pride could accept the fresh students from various regions in Indonesia on EEPIS ITS Campus. “All of you are the selected people, which have set aside thousands of people to be able to go on this campus,†said the director who usually called by Dadet.
That’s why, Dadet who also the former 1st Assistant of Director in academic field, hopes that the fresh students can optimize in using this opportunity. “I hope in 3-4 years or even less, all of you can graduate with satisfying score from this campus,†he said which was greeted with the applause from the thousands of students in the lobby.
To give more spirits to the students in studying, 2nd and 3rd Assistants of Director also attended to give a little explanation about EEPIS; about the facilities and training activities. The 2nd Assistant of Director; Aris Pratiarso, ST, MT, also gave some advices to do an active participation in using and keeping the facilities in EEPIS as a form of their concern and sense of belonging.
Karo Bina Mitra Polda Jatim Lombes Pol H. M. Fauzi also attended to give a general lecture about youth development. In his presentation, he reminded the importance of the implementation of the youth development, besides that he also explained about traffic rules. He also answered the questions from the fresh students about traffic ticket and violation by under age.
The next agenda was the material about the introduction of ITS which was delivered by the representative of ITS. (humpens)
