Improving National Batik Day to Day World Batik on October 2, 2009 was supposed to be a special moment that is not overlooked and forgotten.

After all, October 2, falls on Friday that in fact is commonly known as batik day for employees. Indeed, most regions in Indonesia require employees to wear batik on Friday. So did the EEPIS. A rule for use batik for the whole members has prevailed for a long time. The lecturers are not required to wear batik as well as other employees. "Although lecturers are not required, I feel comfortable wearing batik on Friday. Batik reflects one s maturity. Batik is an Indonesian native clothing worn by every formal occasion, "said Edi S, one of the lecturers EEPIS; who teach daily Numerical Methods in the Department of Electronics, is always wearing batik on Friday. In every invitation or other formal event, dressed in batik has always been the main choice. Not only lecturers, today is a lot of students who is also wearing batik. They realize that this moment is so important. After a lot of Indonesian culture that was stolen by other nations. "By using batik on this day, I wanted to respect and appreciate the government efforts to appoint a characteristic of batik of Indonesia in the eyes of the world," said Andi Arya, 3rd semester Electrical Engineering student.

Now days, batik is no longer identical with the old people. Batik is now also present in various models and so attractive and interesting. Shamelessly and no longer seem strange, Indonesian youths dared to wear batik anytime and in any event. Young people today indirectly have helped Indonesia to preserve the great cultural products of this. It’s proven on this day many EEPIS students are wearing batik with a variety of models and motifs.
