EEPIS Online, (08.05) until on Friday, May 8, 2009 almost PMDK participants who are decided to pass the process her registration or re-enroll in the Campus EEPIS. "Only about 20 people are not re-registering," said Tribudi Santoso, ST, MT as Asdir III EEPIS.
In the first week of re-registration process, the number of applicants were relatively little. But in the following week this number was increases. This is possibly because of a delay in receiving the information about PMDK through school. The number of students who was accepted in PMDK program was 126 people, who spread over onto 11 programs of study in EEPIS. Besides that, PMDK program for Economic Weakness, in 1st selection stages, was accepted 12 students but they still not be given away since they still have to go through 2nd stages, Visitation selection, "Visitation is to conduct compliance checks and process the data with the reality on the ground", explained Tribudi.
Regarding about re-registration procedures, Mr. Tri-so explained briefly. "Re-registration procedure is very easy and can be completed in less than 20 minutes. Come to EEPIS, pay the fees, and fill in the form, next photo for temporary KTM, then finished.†He warned that although the students had to re-apply but if they were not present, and follow health and psychological tests which carried out simultaneously with the implementation of SNMPTN, they were declared lost.
Asked about the 20 students who did not register, according to him, the amount was reasonable because considering the opportunity for prospective students to attend the selection process which held by other universities. Although it was not appropriate with the number of applicants over the quota but it was not dampened the enthusiasm of other applicants. "EEPIS has two kinds of tests, the one is UMPENS (EEPIS Admission Test, red) and National UMPN (State Polytechnic Admission Test-National)", he added. The difference between both of them are the choice for studies program in UMPN are limited to programs in environmental studies in EEPIS, but for National UMPN, it has many choice of studies program because it is able to choose many kind of studies program in all of State Polytechnic in Indonesia.
