EEPIS Online, For the most EEPIS lecturers and students, Mr. Makino; who is he usually called, have deep memories in their heart. No doubt, when they heard the sad news about Mr. Makino’s death, all the EEPIS members felt so sad. Here are the impressions and memories from some people who have a close relationship with him:
Ir. Dadet Pramadihanto, MEng. Ph.D.
â€Tonight (Wednesday night, red), I got the surprisingly news form Mr. Titon Dutono (from Mr. Tokomaru). Mr. Makino (JICA) passed away at Wednesday, August 5, 2009. He gives a great contribution to EEPIS. We lost someone who had thought a lot, developed and defended EEPIS until can be like this now. Good bye Mr. Makino, we will always remember your good turn for EEPIS.â€
Dr. Rusminto Tjatur
“Mr. Makino gave me a lot of advices and spirits before I went to my studies in Kagoshima 8 years ago. He said that I couldn’t be sick while in Kagoshima. When I was in Kagoshima, he also visited me in the middle of his tight schedule in Japan, even though I lived in a quite far; in the end of Kyushu Island. Sayonara Makino Sensei….â€
Ir. Nonot Harsono, MT
â€I knew Mr. Makino since 19885. I was a student. He came to the ITS Electro Laboratory for doing the feasibility study in establishment of polytechnic in Indonesia. In 1989 I joined with EEPIS and Mr. Makino was one of my experts for a year. Seeing Mr. Makino, I feel like seeing an EEPIS Public Relation for the international. His attention in EEPIS is very big, especially in progress and development of EEPIS. He told the EEPIS’ works to the world. Since we’re so close, the relationship between Mr. Makino and EEPIS is like a personal relationship.
When the robot team which was led by Mr. Anang Tjahjono and Mr. Mohammad Nuh (he was as a 3rd Assistant of Director at that time) participated a competition in Japan (we were still poor at that time), Mrs. Makino lend a her friend’s empty house for the EEPIS team to stay. Mrs. Makino cleaned up that house for 3 days because it was empty for long enough. But she considered that it was still dirty and didn’t proper enough for Indonesian team. Remembering all those things, how close we and his family are. He really has a big role and good turn. Good bye Sensei, all my salute and respects from me and family.
Ir. Muhamad Milchan, MT
“A sweet memory with Makino Sensei that won’t be forgotten is in 2001; I asked him to come with me for lunch in Jl. Gebang, he agreed and we went by my scooter. Good bye Makino Sensei…â€
Okkie Puspitorini ST. MT.
“When EEPIS got a grant from JICA to establish D4 program, he gave his initiative; the importance of Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Regulation subjects. Mr. Makino was really enthusiastic in teaching the lecturers about EMC materials, until Mr. Shimosio came special for teaching about EMC. This was continuous until Mr. Shimosio was sent to Missourirola University, USA, special for studying about EMC and then taught it to us in EEPIS. He also strongly supported the establishment of EMC Laboratory in EEPIS. Mr. Makino helped in providing the books and laboratory equipments; 4 microwaves and Network Analyzer. Not only that, he also helped the EMC lecturers when they attended International Seminar in Thailand and Singapore. This year, the EMC subject has been combined with Radio Regulation, I don’t know if it can be a feeling that Mr. Makino will really leave EEPIS. I’m very touched and sad remembering all his good turn. Good bye Mr. Makino, good bye EMC Sensei…â€
