EEPIS-Online, The 12th Industrial Electronics Seminar (IES) has been established this year. Wednesday(11/03), IES was officially opened the IES Chairs, Mr. Rusminto. The event is sponsored by IEEE, JICA, ITS, IEEI was followed by 70 participants coming from ITS, UI, UGM, ITB, IPB, EEPIS, POLBAN, BPPT/DEPKOMINFO. Participants are also coming from foreign universities such as UTM Malaysya, Osaka U, Kumamoto U, Titech U, Saga U Jepang, Auckland U New Zealand, AIT, Prine Sokla U Thailand dan Della Salle U Filiphina. IES has theme “Communication and information superiority and their application”.
In speech , Indra Aji as the General Chief of IES delivered the purpose of this event as space for researchist to present their inventions, discuss and build relationship towards each researcher wheter national or international.
The opening was held at EEPIS Theatre moderated by Tri Budi. It was taking attention of participants, EEPIS Students, Director Assistants. The core was started by Postel Director of Informatics and Communications Departments, Titon Dutono as the keynote speaker. He delivered the forwardness of Indonesia Infrastructure to telecommunication convergent. “By having better regulation and also well supported with taft intention, we do believe can manage our country. ”Titon said. Furthermore, he wants on next 2012 that 50 percents of world citizens got to access internet.
Considering this problems, postel directorate has plan to build some programs(by supporting of USO and ICT fund) to spread the telecommunication industry in Indonesia. Some of them are in 2011 we will have targeted 31.824 villages can connect to internet by telefoni based. By building phone spots in each. The next program is going to build internet cafes by 5 computers client and a server computer , so more programs as palapa-ring and wimax.
In closing his present , Titon concluded that convergent is claimed the technology capability and infrastructure availability to gain inovation. But, all segments has responsible in fulfilling infrastructure. The 12th IES opening was closed by discussion within keynote speaker and participants.
