EEPIS-Online, Indonesian Robot Contest 2011, it is the second time of Gajah Mada University(UGM) has been chosen as the host. UGM used Yogyakarta animo in case to enlighten this contest. The result was pretty.
The gentleness of Yogyakarta s atmoshpere were served to people on Graha Sabha Pramana. In the opening ceremony, Bregodo Ungel-ungelan troops has been come to accompany the representative of each universities.
While walking to the stage, they were playing the music instruments until the students representatives was being introduced. Moreover, the traditional dance was also recognized, Klono Topeng dance. The dance which will be the theme of Art Robot Contest 2011. It was not the end, to attract the visitors, modern dance themed robotic was also deliberated. As the host. UGM feels proud to welcome all participants to Yogyakarta in this annual contest.
"We are ready to do the best in helding this mega contest. Many preparations we did in order to make this event go well." Arif Wibisono said as the chair comitee. By having the 2009 experience they believe this event will run best.
Indonesian Robot Contest is held for two days. From Saturday(06/11) to Sunday(06/12). 400 students and 100 officials are ready to show their best performance. They are competing to get the prize as Best Champion Of Indonesia. 101 teams is in competition by now.
In this ceremonial, DIKTI Directorate of General Prof. Dr. Joko Santoso, Msc attends. He gives his big appreciation to roboholics. He adds, the most role of this contest are also to create up our creativity and brotherhood of Indonesian youth. First surprise was coming from first dance of KRSI robot. Welcome style and continued by salto was adding the sense to the audience. There is also continued by the giving of rotating cup from EEPIS director, Ir. Dadet Pramadihanto, M.Eng, Phd to UGM rector Prof.Ir.Sudjarwadi, M.Eng, Phd.
